Nasties we leave out

  • No plastic bits or bristles
  • No chemicals that can leach
  • No thermoset plastics or rubbers ( these can't be recycled and end up in landfill)

Read the "How to tips" to keep your brush and loofahs in good condition and some tips on using them.

  • Bamboo, Loofah and Coconut are sustainable and, when cared for properly, will last you at least 3-6 months or much longer.
  •  Don't put your brushes in the dishwater or microwave or out to dry in the sun; this will damage the timber and bristles. Simply let them air dry after use to prevent splitting or moulding.
  • To clean and disinfect your  bamboo brushes: Fill a jug or basin with hot water and 1 tbsp. of liquid dish detergent or our lemon myrtle disinfectant. Let the brush or loofah soak in the hot clean water for at least 15 minutes. Rinse with hot water, shake out excess water or pat dry with a dishtowel.
  • Signs of age on the bamboo are natural. Our round-headed dish brush handle is designed to last you years.
  • Simply replace the head when it wears out. Keep your Loofah and brushes out of the water when finished using - they will air dry quickly.
  • Our EKOH essential boxes are made from Kraft card that is unbleached and is 100% eco-friendly.
  • The box will degrade naturally within a few weeks, decomposing just like leaves that fall off a tree. It can be recycled for use as new packaging materials.
  • All printing is done using non-toxic inks. We considered things like paper production and printing (only 2 colours)when designing our Soap packaging to make it as earth-friendly as possible.
FSC Certified Sustainably grown and farmed Bamboo, Sisal and Coconut made in East Asia. The Luffa is all natural grown from the Luffa seed and the sponge is woodpulp /cellulose made and certified FSC. The Dish Brush has stainless steel fittings so it wont rust. FSC has a global forest certification system to provide an assurance that products support responsible forestry managment. It ensures that FSC materials and products have been checked at every stage of gorwing and processing, so customers purchasing products sold with FSC claims can be confident that they are genuinely FSC certified.
If you do not have a compost bin or worm farm, your reusable brushes and loofahs are essentially plants and sticks! You can break them into a few pieces (garden chipper or small hand saw does wonders ) and toss them into a hole in the soil in your garden. Insects and plants will have no trouble breaking them down. The Kraft packing is compostable or simply toss into your recycle bin.

Great Value, natural brushes for both my shower and kitchen

I bought htis pack as it had a selction of brushes that I could use in both my kitchen and bathroom . My favourites are the ovel brush to scub my feet and the bottle brush for my waterbottle. The loofas are on the smaller size but swell up when wet and are easy to use - I have one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen.
