Swedish Dish Cloths for the Kitchen

Q: Why should I use EKOH Swedish dishcloths?

Our mission is to help every home reduce plastic and waste in the kitchen. Swedish dishcloths are an excellent sustainable alternative to paper towels, plastic sponges and microfibre nylon cloths.

Our high-quality eco sponge cloths ( Swedish dish cloths) are all-natural and made from plant-based cellulose wood fibre and cotton. Once the cleaning cloths reach the end of their lifespan, you can pop them in the compost bin, bury them in the garden or use them as a firestarter.

Q: What is the best way to wash your dishcloths/eco sponge cloths?

To keep your dishcloths in good condition, rinse well after each use and air dry. One of the many benefits of Swedish dish cloths is that they are durable and machine-washable.

You can also wash them by placing them on the top rack of your dishwasher, and you can also wash the cloths with your laundry.

Do not use fabric softener or bleach chemicals, as they will deteriorate the fabric prematurely and damage the prints. We recommend you do not tumble dry as this will damage the natural fibres. You can also place a damp cloth in the microwave for up to 35 seconds to sterilize - be super careful when removing the cloth as it will be hot!
