Keeping your Swedish dish cloths happy: For washing, it's best to use the top of the dishwasher on a full cycle or the washing machine with warm to hot water (without fabric softener). To get rid of all bacteria, simply wet the cloth and pop it in the microwave for 90 seconds. And remember, do not tumble-drying and iron.
